Giving

“Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.” 1 Peter 4:10

Coordinators: Michael Detollenaere & Beverly Reed

Donations to the First Congregational Church are used to sustain and grow our local church ministry and mission giving, which we have been providing for over 270 years. We take responsibility for ourselves, our family and friends, our neighbors and our environment. To achieve this end, we have implemented a number of programs that rely on your generosity and allow us to put our faith in practice. We hope you will join us to continue our tradition of providing hope, healing and inspiration.

Making a Commitment

In additiol to supporting our ministry, there is so much more to running our church—from maintaining our beautiful historic property to supplying reams of paper in the office. Our annual pledge campaign assists us in our responsibility to plan an appropriate budget, which is so important to us that we implemented a by-law that demands a balanced annual budget so that our church remains financially healthy. Regardless of the amount pledged, our hope is that all members participate so that we can work together to achieve our common goals. Giving statements are sent to each donor annually. When you are ready, download a pledge form and send it to the church.

We’ve added the ability to now donate via PayPal or a credit card. You can use the “Donate” button to the left to do either a one-time donation or to setup a recurring donation in this way.

Financial Gifts

All gifts are tax-deductible. Gifts are accepted in memory or honor of someone. We also welcome donations toward specific projects, such as the Scott Marino Fund for complete handicapped access, technology upgrades, etc. If you would like to make a donation, please download a donation form and mail to the church.

Estate Planning

Provide for your children, grandchildren and other family members while leaving a legacy at the First Congregational Church. FCC welcomes gifts through life insurance, wills, trusts, charitable gift annuities, retirement accounts and life estates. To plan such a gift, either consult your personal financial planner or call the church office for more information.

Other Donations

Item donations are accepted during scheduled times for yard sale and rummage sale items. Check the Events page for more information. Download the rummage sale or yard sale donation forms.
