Youth Classes

Our youth are encouraged to be active participants in worship, fellowship and mission projects. Classes meet during the regular school year. Classes are held on Sunday mornings after our children’s sermon during worship (usually about fifteen minutes into the service). On Communion Sundays the classes begin at 10 am, then the youth return later to the sanctuary to join their families for communion.

Youth Classes

Each week our Junior High classes learn from the Firelight Curriculum that brings life through a multi-sensory approach through games, art, storytelling, etc..

Firelight Bible Learning Curriculum lights the way for exploring Bible stories, illuminating them for today’s leaders and learners . In Christian education settings, when two, three, five, twelve, twenty or yet larger groups gather together, God is present as learning ignites.

Every unit of Firelight Bible Learning Curriculum digs deeply into five Bible stories. Each of the five Bible Story Guide foldouts in one unit has material and clear directions for exploring that story.

The solid biblical, theological foundation for each unit, presented in an easy-to-follow format, sets the stage for both learners and leaders to experience the five Bible stores in creative, multisensory ways. The 10 Deeper Learning options for each story with strong real-life connections pave the way for active Bible learning that deepens Christian faith.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation class is offered to youth grade 9 and above. The program is facilitated by our pastor under the direction of the Board of Christian Education. Each confirmand is paired with a mentor, a confirmed member of the church, who meets with them to grow in relationship, as well as share their personal and faith journeys. Together the class visits different places of worship and participates in other opportunities to explore and discover their own faith.
