Youth Classes

Our youth are encouraged to be active participants in worship, fellowship and mission projects. Classes meet during the regular school year. Classes are held on Sunday mornings after our children’s sermon during worship (usually about fifteen minutes into the service). On Communion Sundays the classes begin at 10 am, then the youth return later to the sanctuary to join their families for communion.

Youth Classes

Each week our Junior and Senior High School classes learn from Youth Specialities programs that bring to life important Christian concepts in a way that speaks to our youth.

Whole People Of God
Education and Discipleship this Fall will begin to use the Whole People of God curriculum again.   Whole People of God is a simple, easy-to-use online lectionary based Sunday School Curriculum.   It includes weekly age-level lessons as well as worship resources for leaders.
You can go to the following website to learn more about this curriculum:www.wholepeopleofgod.com

This week our curriculum basic syllabus is on “The Whole World Waits.” Merri and our wonderful teachers will be adjusting them to fit our youth who are present.

If you have any questions about the curriculum used, please see one of the Education and Discipleship Team Members – Susan Lancaster or Beth DiBella.   You can also ask Merri Carlson the Director Of Christian Education or Melissa Maas, Clerk.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation class is offered to youth grade 9 and above. The program is facilitated by our pastor under the direction of the Board of Christian Education. Each confirmand is paired with a mentor, a confirmed member of the church, who meets with them to grow in relationship, as well as share their personal and faith journeys. Together the class visits different places of worship and participates in other opportunities to explore and discover their own faith.
