Visitor Information

Welcome to the First Congregational Church (FCC), a member of the United Church of Christ (UCC) in the New Hampshire Conference. FCC offers a space of healing, comfort, and spiritual deepening. Guided by our covenant, we welcome all who come to worship with us in the spirit of peace, love and mutual respect.

We are a family-oriented church with educational programs for all ages. This is an active congregation with many opportunities to help on a board or committee for those who are interested. You do not have to be a member to participate.

If at anytime, you have a question while at FCC, please feel comfortable to talk with a greeter.

Do you have nursery care?

For families with children under 3, we provide supervised childcare during the Sunday worship service in Noah’s Nursery during the school year.

Can my children attend Sunday School if we are just visiting?

Your children are very welcome to attend our classes, even if it is just for one visit. If you are interested, please accompany them downstairs during the service when directed, so that the teachers will know your child’s name and they will be assigned to the right class. When the service ends, the children will stay in their classes until their parents get them. Please note that on Communion Sundays (the first Sunday of each month) the children attend class at 10 am, then come up to the sanctuary together for Communion.

Fellowship time

Refreshments are provided after the Sunday service at a well-attended fellowship hour downstairs.

What should I wear?

The congregation usually is dressed business casual and more casual during the summer services.

Food pantry mission

Our youth group heads a food pantry collection the first Sunday of each month. If you want to bring a donation, please ask the greeter at the door where to place it.

Handicapped access

To make sure that we are open to all, we have installed a lift to access all levels of our facility. Our main entrance at the front door has a ramped walkway and can be accessed by all.

Where are the bathrooms?

All of our bathrooms are downstairs along the far wall. One of them is a unisex handicapped bathroom.
